Megan Malloy

Megan Malloy has grown up in Westover and is a sophomore at Briarwood Christian School. She is the daughter of Jonathan and Margaret Malloy and the granddaughter of the late council member, Jeanne Champion-Fisch.  

Megan was recently crowned Miss North Alabama’s Outstanding Teen 2023, winning the talent competition. In addition, she was awarded a renewable tuition & fees scholarship to Wallace State and the Beautiful Heart Scholarship.  

Being Miss North Alabama’s Outstanding Teen has provided Megan with the unique opportunity to share her own story of dyslexia and to impact her community. She has partnered with Westover and Better Basics to install a Book Nook with children’s books in the city park and has designed an informative flyer about dyslexia and how to help.  

Megan has a passion for the arts and is a competitive dancer. She also performs in show choir for her school and is a ballet teaching assistant.
